This is the story of four girlfriends, their dreams and follies, their sorrows and joys, their adventures and fears. Natalia, Victoria, Sara and Angélica are all about to graduate, each of them in a different profession, and it is now that life opens thousands of doors for them and when all of their fears come to the surface. The universe is unexplored territory and they are ready to travel throughout it, to know it as the back of their hands. While Victoria lives with her parents, the other three friends share an enormous house that was entrusted to Natalia after her parents left the country. Natalia is a student of Haute Cuisine and the leader of this special quartet. Victoria has been her friend since they went to school together and studied Architecture; Sara arrived at the door of the big house when she moves out of her town to go to the city to study Law and was looking for a room to rent. Angélica also arrived at Natalia’s house looking for a place to live in. During the first few months of her studies at the Communications College she experienced many difficulties with transportation, since she was living with her mother and sister in a distant and humble neighborhood of the city. Her search for a place that would be closer to the university led her to knock on the door of the big house. According to the plans of the four girls, once they finish their college studies, their lives will take different paths. Natalia wants to open a different, singular and original restaurant, “Nata’s Kitchen,” with her boyfriend Federico. Victoria is to travel to Europe to continue studying, Sara is determined to make a new conquest, and Angélica needs to get a job, no matter what. The day of their graduation is the starting point … but the path to be followed is not precisely the one they had set out to take, nor the one they had imagined. After a lot of paperwork and formalities and thanks to the help of her best friend, Andrés, Natalia, at long last, receives the premises for the new restaurant. It would have been the perfect place to celebrate, but just a few hours before, Natalia’s life changes drastically: she discovers that her boyfriend, Federico, is at a church in the city, getting married to a woman who is expecting a child of his. While Natalia is suffering the sorrow of betrayal, Victoria makes the decision of her life: she will not travel to Europe to undertake the post-graduate studies that her parents have chosen for her. Victoria feels that she has always been repressed and stifled from doing the things she wanted to do, either because of her parents’ pressure, or because of her shyness and inexperience. This confusion is made worse by the fact that she wants to lose her virginity to her boyfriend, Oscar, with whom she has had eight years of a stale love and “respect.” The day of her graduation, Victoria packs her bags, but her destination is not Europe … it is Natalia’s house. While Victoria packs her bags to arrive at Natalia’s house, Sara is packing in order to abandon it. Sara, who falls in love very easily, has made the unilateral decision to go to live with Jonathan, her boyfriend, whom she befriended just two weeks ago. Poor Jonathan has no idea of who or what is about to knock on his door. Angélica, on the other hand, looks for work at an important construction company and is able to get the job after seducing its owner, Mauricio Castillo. It is the beginning of a passionate and secret romance. What Angélica discovers during the graduation is that Mauricio is Victoria’s uncle. Graduation day for these four friends is a day packed with beginnings and endings. Natalia, fearful and very angry because of what Federico did to her, breaks up the partnership with him for the establishment of the restaurant and decides not to go ahead with it. However, the support of her three girlfriends convinces her not to give up her project and to make a partnership with them to open up a restaurant-café: the “Four & One,” a space where men are not needed. It is a place where they can vent their concerns regarding life and where their dreams are intertwined with the loves that they have begun and those they have already forgotten. The four girlfriends are successful in setting up “Four & One,” which became one of the most famous and preferred places for women and, with time, also for men. What had initially started out as Natalia Pizarro’s project, becomes, with the passage of time, a life project for the four girlfriends. During this process, each of them faces the real day-to-day conflicts that women who live and work together confront, women who assume their lives and enjoy them after they become professionals. “Four & One” shall be their meeting point, the witness, the seed that reinforces their friendship, their conflicts, their intrigues, their passions, their pieces of advice. Within those walls that will be adorned with the passage of time with their four unique styles of seeing life, the stories of Natalia, Victoria, Sara and Angélica will be expressed forever. Thus, the dream becomes the space for gossip, coffee, good food, lovers, boyfriends, girlfriends and farewells.
