Never Surrender Salome

SYNOPSIS

An earthquake took place in Colombia’s coffee region, center west art of the country, on January 25 year 1999, which not only ended with the life of hundreds but also radically changed the lives and destiny of many, including the future of Salomé and Carlos Alberto. Salomé and Carlos Alberto was a bridal couple on the verge of taking their wedding vows on the moment the tragedy took place. Their love got caught under the ruins of the church where the groom waited for his beautiful bride to be. He remained buried there for various days, where no one imagined that a miracle had kept him alive. Believing him dead, Salomé decides to use her grief positively and takes off to the country’s capital in search for help for all those survivors of her land who are in desperate need. With the help of Wendy, her best friend, Salomé is able to contact some influential people who can help her financially in the reconstruction of this devastated region. It is in this quest that Salomé meets Sebastian Fernandez. Sebastian is the son to a humble man who has made a significant wealth from his transportation business, and to a woman who tries to forget her past of poverty by becoming a “women of society and glamour” While Salomé is in the city, Carlos Alberto is rescued from the church’s ruins. His first inquiry is for Salomé and when he hears of her departure, he sees in this attitude an abandonment of her part and decides to forget his love for her. He remains to help the survivors and commands the teams who are handling the housing, food and rescue of those in need. While performing this task, Carlos Alberto finds help and support in Laura, a young beautiful girl who loves him. Salomé gets news from town about the survival and well being of Carlos Alberto, and returns home, only to find that Carlos Alberto has found more than assistance to the survivors in Laura. Finding them together and devastated from his betrayal, Salomé ends their engagement and leaves Carlos Alberto, though their mutual interest in helping the survivors will bring them together in more ways than she would want. Heart broken and disappointed, Salomé moves to work in Bogotá in Sebastian’s father’s business. Sebastian, who is involved and close to an engagement with Natalia, finds himself terribly attracted to Salomé. Natalia is not about to loose Sebastian to Salomé, and neither are her parents, who on the verge of a financial ruin, find in her marriage to Sebastian, the answer to their problems. When Carlos Alberto finds out that Laura is expecting his child, he decides to marry her. The news of this abruptly hits Salomé and makes her give a twist in her life, and a new opportunity to love. Carlos Alberto hesitates in his decision by some news he comes to know. Laura is not willing to give him up easily, and Sebastian blinded by his desire to win Salomé will do what ever he needs, even commit murder.
