Near and Far
SYNOPSIS
“El Paraíso”, is a town born out of an invasion to the land, and it is going to be torn down. The day of the tear down, it is cancelled thanks to the heroic actions of Augusto Fonseca, the town leader. That night, while the residents of “El Paraiso” are celebrating having saved their houses, Augusto is murdered under strange circumstances. At his funeral, his children Luna and Kike, swear to find his fathers murderer and to have justice be served. Fifteen years later, thanks to her will and determination, Luna Fonseca graduates as a lawyer. At the same time, she meets and falls in love with Rafael Jimenez, a young and successful reporter. But this love can not grow freely. Luna and Rafael are separated not only by the evident social differences, but by something much more important which they ignore: Rafael’s father is the man who fifteen years ago murdered Augusto, Luna’s father.
