SYNOPSIS

MEN is above all a story about the male world, shown through a female character, the female lead role (Margarita Rosa de Francisco), and six main male characters, each one who develops and assumes a personal conflict within his sex. It is not women who talk about men now, here, men talk to us about women. It is not women worried about “those excess pounds we’ve got to shed”, now we have men dealing with their wrinkles, their bodies, those white hairs, those changes that now seem so apparent in the mirror. Here you will not find complaints from women about men: here you will find complaints from men against women. Those agonies from the “weak sex” will be on the back burner, to give way to those weaknesses of the “strong sex" MEN is not a story what wishes to perpetuate “ the battle of the sexes. MEN takes the commitment of reuniting them. This story takes place within the world of the market of stock exchange, and the means to tell it is through a central love story between our female lead, the Secretary General of the Bogota Stock Exchange, and a successful and efficient stock broker from an important firm : two young executives (yuppies), skeptical about love and of the possibility of a real understanding between men and women, find each other to show us the difficulties about love relationships between both sexes, it’s apparent impossibility and because of this, the complexity of the female and male world when they fing themselves amidst the “disaster” that becomes their lives when love appears.
