SYNOPSIS
The Jimmy Carter School a public education institution, is given for it’s management to a Private Foundation. This situation implies drastic administrative and pedagogic changes all in the hand of Francisco Santamaría, the new school director, who is known as an honest, organized, decent man, who’s life project has always been driven by truthful attitudes. Maria Paula Ramirez, is a low profile girl, senior student in the Social Work faculty, who does not seem to have a problem in lying in order to survive. As she becomes a staff member of the school, Francisco finds in her a supporting partner, and soon they discover that they are soul mates. What Francisco ignores is that Maria Paula, his most reliable worker, is a lier, she has not concluded her studies, and much less is a wealthy lady. Nevertheless, the only certain thing is that Francisco becomes her true love. This love story develops amongst conflicts due to social differences, that appear when Jimmy Carter students, who are mainly poor, are forced to interact with students from the Private Foundation, an institution for wealthy young people, who are being educated to run the country in the future. Because of the integration, every day becomes an adventure full of problems and social discomfort, that will slowly vanish as the students get to know each other’s world. Finally, their friendship will show results on a music group they will conform. As if the problems where not enough, Francisco’s uncle, a wealthy, mean and ambitious man is the president of the Foundation, and is willing to do anything to get the power money can give. Jose Santamaría accepted to run the Jimmy Carter School for Ministry of Education, to rob it, and support the school of the rich kids and maintain his numerous personal investments. In this dirty game, he is dragging Francisco, his nephew, who does not know anything of what is going on. All these characters interact in lines of love and power, in a bar called Bar Connection, an adequate place for social relations, where betrayal, tears, hatred, friendship, and mostly love will make them want to fight to stay together forever, in their Class of 2004.
