This is how the story of Mariana (Ana Maria Estupiñan), Andrea (Juanita Arias), Leticia (Estefania Piñeres) and Bryan (Variel Sanchez), four teenagers who must face the difficult situation of becoming parents at a very young age, is being watched in countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Aruba, Jamaica, Haiti, among others. “Mama Tambien” is still opening frontiers to talk about a topic that many are familiar with but very few talk about: teenage pregnancy. Previously, the production was sold to nations such as Venezuela, United States, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. But besides the main topic, “Mama Tambien” talks about other universal issues such as the debate on abortion, adoption, legal and illegal drugs, social networks and cyber-bullying, domestic violence, partying, male chauvinism, unfulfilled dreams, the indifference of society and other issues that young people these days are having to face no matter where they come from. By being released on MTV, the series continues its mission of talking, in an entertaining way, about situations that may happen to anybody, but thanks to this, young people and adults can think about the proper handling of sexuality and its consequences.
