Who killed Patricia Soler? Seventeen years ago, a group of friends, all partners at a jewelry emporium, travel on business to New York. One night, Sara Fernandez, the wife of Sebastian Sinisterra, president of the Company, is discovered next to Patricia Soler´s body with the murder weapon in her hands. She is taken to trial, where one of Sebastian´s partners, Samuel (who is in love with Sara), testifies against her out of revenge because she does not correspond his feelings, which leads Sara to be sentenced to life in prison. While in prison, Sara, transformed into a tough woman, makes silver jewels as her only pastime, a craft she teaches to her cell mate, who she ends up confessing her story to. Because of her sentencing, Sara loses her two young children, Lucia and Camilo, and suffers terribly for the injustice committed by Sebastian, who first divorces her and after that completely abandons her. Now only one thought motivates Sara´s life: getting her freedom back, recovering her children and unmasking Patricia Soler´s true murderer in order to finally get some justice.
