THE TELENOVELA LA MARCA DEL DESEO (BRANDED BY DESIRE) TRIUMPHED IN SPAIN

Fewer days after its premiere in Spain, La Marca del Deseo (Branded by Desire) became one of the most seen TV shows in the Iberian country. On past Monday, July 4th, the telenovela starring actress Stephanie Cayo and Juan Alfonso Baptista debuted at Nova, the chain of Antena 3 Group aimed specifically to the female public on the 6:00 pm hours, with a 2.9% share (equaling 285,000 viewers who turned on their televisions to see the premiere). Even in the commercial target, the audience segment more attractive to advertisers, the novel added 2.9 points. This production was noted especially in Cataluña with a rate of 4.7% becoming the most watched TV novel in the region. Followed by Andalucía (4.5%), the Canary Islands (3.8%), Balearic Islands (3.8%) and Galicia (3.6%). La Marca del Deseo (Branded by Desire) recreates the story that takes place in Hidden Town, where Maria Valentina, Maria Canela, Mary Alegria, Maria Soledad and Maria Claridad arrive at the same time, five sisters who are not known to each other but have something in common: a mark at the end of their back in a heart shape. The five girls come in search of destiny and of their father, Reynaldo Santibáñez, a former sailor that because of the solitude in which his wife had left him, sought passion in other arms. The main character, Maria Valentina (Stephanie Cayo), falls in love with Luis Eduardo Santibáñez(Juan Alfonso Baptista), ignoring that the love that shakes herlife is impossible ... Since he is her brother.
