The National Beauty Pageant, in charge of the Board and its Chairman, every year dresses up the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias during November, will arrive in its 76 th year.
On this opportunity, RCN network will make two major transmissions for all the country the first one will be The prettiest for Colombia (Beachwear runway) to be merged with A Handmade Country (Craft Costume Runway) and will run from the Marina Park, a beautiful scenery that from different angles become a dreamed location, where the Corralito de Piedra will make shine the 24 candidates vying to take the title of the most beautiful woman in the country for this year.
During this events, the assistants and Tv audience will enjoy the musical show that will offer the greatest exponent of reggaeton in Colombia J. Balvin, also Los Hermanos Rosario from Santo Domingo and finally one of the most renowned Vallenato singers, the Penchy Cartro, all of them will be responsible for setting the musical note in this night, that will gather in one celebration several regions of our country.
On this year, the National Beauty Pageant as RCN Network, are making vital innovations to offer the Colombians an improved runway that will allow them to see the important work developed by our countrys artisans with the support of the National Beauty Pageant. The candidates will be wearing the latest collection of Leonisas swimsuits, official sponsor of the Pageant.
The second transmission, which is the traditional Election and Coronation Evening of the Miss Colombia 2010 – 2011, during this event Navarro Natalia Galvis will crown her successor in the usual Gethsemane auditorium of the Convention Centre Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala. The musical quota will be performed by the renowned salsa singer Willie Colon and the famous Colombian singer Fonseca who was recently nominated for Latin Grammy 2010 in the category of Best Tropical Song of the Year.
As a prelude of this great Colombian contest the RCN Network will broadcast 6 specials with exclusive information of the 24 contenders to the crown, in which we will meet their families, their hometowns, moments of their childhood, studies, friends and dreams to be unfulfilled. These shows hosted by the current Miss Colombia Natalia Navarro Galvis and First Princess Carolina Rodriguez, we will see the path taken by the production team across the country to discover in the culture of our different regions those artisans that fill us with pride with their work, and that will be responsible for dressing the contestants this year again in the Handcraft Parade.
Moreover, the Cartagena Hilton Hotel as in the previous years will continue to be the gathering place and official site of the event.
